47% girls wish to marry man with handsome income, reveals survey

84 per cent people rely on their relatives and friends for finding a match, while 13 per cent turn to marriage bureaus and just one per cent use matrimonial apps and the internet.
According to a countrywide survey conducted by the Institute of Public Opinion and Research, 41pc people said they find it difficult to get the right match because of unemployment, 17pc considered lack of education as a hurdle, while 15pc said people provide fake or misleading information about themselves.
To a query about marriage preferences, 25pc men wanted to marry a well-educated girl, 21pc preferred a fair-complexed as well as beautiful girl and 6 per cent looked for a religious girl.
When the women were asked the same question, 47pc wished a man with handsome income, 12 per cent preferred to marry a man owning a house, 8 per cent looked for small family and 3 per cent preferred a religious man.
