Boss gifts brand new cars to loyal employees

Employees of an information technology firm in India were stunned when their boss gifted brand-new vehicles to 50 of his loyal staff members. 

According to India Today, Murali, the head of Ideas2IT Technology Services Private Limited, a Chennai-based IT firm adopted this way to express his gratitude towards those staff members who stood by him in hard times since the inception of the venture. He wished to pay them back for their support.

This is not it. The firm head has also decided to provide a portion of shares to his long-term employees and started a wealth-sharing programme.

“My partner and I have been holding all the shares. We have now decided to convert the shares, providing 33 per cent of the shares to long-term employees. We also started the wealth sharing programme by which we decided to give 50 cars to our employees,” Murali said.

In October 2018, Gujarat diamantaire Savjibhai Dholakia made headlines for rolling out a massive Diwali bonanza for thousands of employees. That year, he gave away 600 cars, fixed deposits, and insurance policies to 1,700 "diamond artists and engineers" working at his firm - Hari Krishna Exports.

Two years before these lavish gifts, Dholakia had given 400 flats and 1,260 cars to his employees on Diwali.
