Chinese husband cycles 4,400 Km to reconcile with displeased wife

A man took remarkable step to mend his relationship with his displeased wife by cycling 4,400 kilometers over the course of 100 days in China.

Zhao, hailing from Jiangsu province, wed Li in 2007, but they parted ways two years ago due to personal differences.

Although there were no significant problems, both were quite stubborn, which contributed to their separation, even though they continued to communicate in hopes of reuniting.

Li playfully remarked to Zhao that she would consider reconciling if he cycled to Lhasa. To her astonishment, Zhao took her words literally and set off on his journey from Nanjing on July 28.

After more than 100 days on his bike, enduring two instances of heat stroke along the way, Zhao finally arrived in Lhasa on October 28.

Despite facing health challenges, Zhao was determined to continue, and after recuperating, he was joined by Li, with the pair reaching Lhasa together and officially getting back together. Zhao now intends to cycle to Nepal and Europe.
