Facebook and Instagram's services were reportedly down for many users across the globe as they were unable to access the popular social media platforms on Tuesday night.

According to the outage-tracking website, Downdetector.com, users were unable to log in to their accounts on Facebook and Instagram.

Hundreds of people had reported that they could not post or view anything on Zuckerberg's online sites.

However, services of social media platforms were restored globally after being suspended for two hours.
