In a bizarre twist, a gang of thieves preferred to cook pakoras first during a house robbery before getting to their real work.

According to Indian media, the police are pursuing a mugging gang that has instilled fear in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with their unusual methods of burglary.

Several cases have emerged in which the robbers first indulged in cooking and eating at the houses they targeted before successfully completing their heists without being caught.

In one incident, the thieves targeted a house while the owner was away in Madhya Pradesh. They broke the lock, entered the kitchen, cooked pakoras, and then escaped with valuable items worth INR4 million.

When the owner of the house returned, he found tissue papers they used while relishing pakoras.

In a recent incident, the muggers entered a house, relaxed a bit, ate food from the fridge, and escaped with Rs 300,000 worth of jewelry.

Not only did they rest or cook, but they also smoked, chewed paan, and spat in the bathroom before leaving.

The "pakora gang" committed six such robberies in a single day, sparking fear among residents who now prefer to stay at home, worried about their safety.

These robberies occurred in empty houses whose residents were away for a few days.

Local police have launched an investigation, and the deputy superintendent has formed a special task force to apprehend the thieves.

These tactics bear a striking resemblance to a scene in a new Bollywood film, Maharaja. In that movie, Anurag Kashyap's character enjoys a delicious meal before committing a robbery.
