Groom adorn his wedding garland with Nawaz, CM Maryam’s pictures

A groom in Punjab paid a unique tribute to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif by adorning their pictures in his garland at his wedding event.

A video of the groom surfaced on social media, showing him dressed in a traditional sherwani and turban, wearing a large garland featuring images of the PML-N leaders.

The video caught the attention of CM Maryam on X, prompting her to request the groom’s contact details so she could send him a "humble gift."

The groom expressed his admiration for CM Maryam’s governance and praised her for several developmental projects initiated in Punjab. He explained that the gesture was meant to raise awareness of her efforts and contributions to the province.

He also revealed that his wife was thrilled with his tribute, adding, "She is also a fan of CM Maryam."

The groom shared that he proudly wore the garland while dancing on his way to bring his bride home. He further expressed his desire to meet the Sharif family in person.

Political workers in Pakistan often find creative ways to show their devotion to their leaders, sometimes presenting extravagant gifts. Previously, CM Maryam received a gold crown from a PML-N supporter.
