Indian woman commits suicide after her husband snatches her cellphone

In a tragic incident, a woman took her own life in her home shortly after her husband confiscated her mobile phone in Bhilai, India,

The deceased, survived by her five-year-old daughter, was discovered hanging by locals who intervened before the authorities arrived.

Following the distressing discovery, law enforcement sealed off the area and transported the woman's body to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for further examination. 

Initial investigations revealed that Rachna Sahu, the wife of Bhupendra Sahu, a worker in the tiles industry, was found hanging inside the house. Bhupendra, during questioning, revealed that they had been married for six years and had a young daughter.

According to Bhupendra's account, he had taken away Rachna's smartphone earlier that day after growing frustrated with her excessive usage, which often led to neglect of household duties and childcare responsibilities. Allegedly engrossed in creating reels and posting on Instagram, Rachna's behavior had caused tensions between the couple.

Upon receiving a distressing call later in the evening, Bhupendra rushed home only to find his wife's lifeless body with a sari noose around her neck. He recounted to the authorities that Rachna, after being deprived of her phone, had secluded herself in another room, leaving their daughter with his mother and sister-in-law downstairs.

The tragic turn of events unfolded when Rachna's family members heard the child's cries and rushed upstairs, only to find her hanging. Despite their efforts and the prompt arrival of neighbors, Rachna had already succumbed to her injuries.

This heartbreaking incident underscores the complexities surrounding mental health, technology usage, and interpersonal relationships in modern society.
