Japanese man arrested for calling his wife 100 times daily

In a bizarre incident, a 38-year-old man in Japan was arrested for making over 100 phone calls to his wife every day, local media reported on Monday.

According to the publications, the 31-year-old woman initially received strange calls from an unknown number, who used to remain silent until she hung up.

This continued for a month, with the frequency of calls ranging from dozens to over 100 per day.

The woman initially thought it was an unknown person but later discovered her husband's involvement when she didn't receive any calls when she was with her husband.

She reported her suspicions to the police, who collected evidence and arrested the husband.

When questioned, the man simply said, "I love my wife, that's why I used to call her without telling her anything."

The Amagasaki police have termed this incident as a first-of-its-kind case.
