Sokusekisai Oyama, also known as Japan's "King of Instant Ramen," has been eating instant noodles daily for at least once a day over 30 years.

Instant noodles, popular with cup noodles', are the favourite of most of the people of Japan, but Sokusekisai Oyama is obesessed with them.

According to media reports, he gave up his job as an Illustrator and started eating cup noodles to become a professional cup noodle critic.

This 65-year-old man claimed he ate at least one serving of instant noodles and more than 10,000 cups of noodles over thirty years.

Oyama's love for instant noodles began in his university days, when he was studying engineering at Tokyo’s Gunma University.

Subsequently, he started collecting the packings of instant ramen noodles, and now at least 6,000 cups and different wrappers are part of his collection.

His big break in the world of instant noodles came in 1995 when he won TV Tokyo’s Instant Noodle Championship. It was a television show that tested contestants’ knowledge about ramen.

In 2018, Sokusekisai was crowned the TV Champion Goki Kiwami Cup Ramen Arrangement King, this show was aimed at improving instant noodles.

With professional knowledge about noodle cups, he regularly appears on TV, and he is a very active social media user, answering people about noodle-related questions.

When it comes to health, instant noodles have bad impacts, while Oyama has never made any comment about his health.
