A sewing machine can typically be powered by electricity or manually by hand and foot, but a Pakistani man devised a bizarre method of running the machine using an old diesel engine.

The young man, hailing from a village, shared a video on his Instagram account and demonstrated how he started the diesel engine by hand, which then set the sewing machine's handwheel in motion as a child sewed a piece of fabric.

The unconventional approach left many questioning the practicality of the innovation, with critics pointing out that using a diesel engine would be more costly and require additional manual effort to start the engine.

Many dismissed the method as humorous, mocking the man for spending money on diesel.

One Instagram user quipped, “The stitching would cost Rs300, but the diesel would cost Rs3,000.”

The man named, Malik Zahoor, also shared another video showing him powering a sewing machine with a motorbike engine.

His Instagram account is filled with similar posts where he uses diesel engines for various purposes, seemingly not for any practical benefit but to attract attention on social media.

The viral video has garnered 230,406 likes and over 20 million views from social media users.
