When love knows no bounds: Man facilitates wife’s marriage to her childhood friend

In an unusual turn of events, a man facilitated his wife's marriage to her childhood friend after discovering that they were in love but had been separated by her previous marriage.

The incident occurred in Bihar's Ramnagar, where 26-year-old Rajesh Kumar arranged for his 21-year-old wife, Khushboo Kumari, to marry her long-time boyfriend, 24-year-old Chandan Kumar.

The situation came to light when Khushboo’s in-laws caught her meeting Chandan late at night. After Rajesh brought the matter to the village elders, he made the decision to let his wife marry her true love.

Speaking to the media, Rajesh explained, "Both were deeply in love and were often found talking to each other. I just helped them stay together."

Rajesh and Khushboo share a 2-year-old son from their marriage.

This unconventional love story has drawn comparisons to the popular Bollywood film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where a husband helps his wife reunite with her true love.

This is not the first time an unconventional story has emerged from Bihar. In a previous case, a man married his mother-in-law after developing a close bond with her, which was noticed by her husband. The couple later celebrated their wedding with the local villagers.
