The government has announced a reduction in electricity rates by Rs7.59 per unit, aiming to provide significant relief to power consumers following a major overhaul in the energy sector.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed the tariff reduction, which is expected to lower electricity bills for millions of domestic and industrial users ahead of the summer season.
