The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan reached an all-time high on Thursday, following a substantial increase of Rs. 7,800 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Gold was traded at Rs. 328,800 per tola, compared to Rs. 321,000 on the previous trading day. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 6,688, reaching Rs. 281,893 from Rs. 275,205. The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also climbed by Rs. 6,131 to settle at Rs. 258,411.

Silver prices also witnessed a rise, with per tola silver increasing by Rs. 64 to Rs. 3,234, and 10-gram silver rising by Rs. 55 to Rs. 2,772.

In the international market, the price of gold surged by $78, reaching $3,118 per ounce, while silver rose by $0.64 to $30.94 per ounce, the association reported.

The sharp jump in both local and global bullion markets reflects continued investor interest in precious metals amid economic uncertainty.
