Gold price surges to record Rs350,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new all-time high on Thursday, as the price per tola rose by Rs2,000 to reach Rs350,000, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10 grams of gold also recorded a significant increase, rising by Rs1,715 to settle at Rs300,068.
This upward trend follows Wednesday’s steep rise, when gold gained Rs8,600 in a single day to reach Rs348,000 per tola — then a record.
On the global front, the price of gold rose by $19 during the day to hit $3,329 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, APGJSA reported.
In contrast, silver prices declined by Rs59, closing at Rs3,401 per tola.
