The drop comes after gold prices rose significantly in the previous session, with a sharp increase of Rs4,250 per tola on Wednesday, taking the price to Rs287,450.

In the international market, gold prices also eased on Thursday, with the rate falling by $8 to $2,743 per ounce, including a $20 premium, as reported by the APGJSA.

Globally, spot gold prices dipped by 0.1%, trading at $2,751.87 per ounce as of 0307 GMT.

The decline was attributed to a stronger US dollar, while investors awaited policy direction from the US administration regarding trade developments.
