Gold prices fall Rs 750 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a decline on Thursday, reflecting a downward trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs750, settling at Rs286,700. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs641, closing at Rs245,799.
The drop comes after gold prices rose significantly in the previous session, with a sharp increase of Rs4,250 per tola on Wednesday, taking the price to Rs287,450.
In the international market, gold prices also eased on Thursday, with the rate falling by $8 to $2,743 per ounce, including a $20 premium, as reported by the APGJSA.
Silver prices followed a similar trend in the local market, declining by Rs30 per tola to settle at Rs3,401.
Globally, spot gold prices dipped by 0.1%, trading at $2,751.87 per ounce as of 0307 GMT.
The decline was attributed to a stronger US dollar, while investors awaited policy direction from the US administration regarding trade developments.
