Gold prices see surge in Pakistan

The price of gold in Pakistan has risen significantly, with the cost of one tola increasing by Rs1,100, reaching Rs274,700.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold saw a rise of Rs943, bringing it to Rs235,511.
Globally, gold prices also experienced a surge in the bullion market, with the price per ounce rising by $11 to $2,635.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) achieved a new milestone, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index crossing the 118,000-point mark during intra-day trading on Thursday. However, as trading progressed, the index saw a slight dip and settled at 117,911.83 points.
At its peak, the index reached 118,367.81, but it later adjusted to its current level. The day’s lowest point was recorded at 117,065.97.
Trading activity remained robust, with a total of 142.83 million shares exchanged, valued at Rs11.31 billion. The previous day’s closing stood at 117,008.08.
The KSE-100 Index has shown strong performance in recent sessions, supported by solid corporate earnings and favourable economic developments.
