Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new all-time high on Monday, reflecting an upward trend in the global bullion market.

According to the Sarafa Association, the per tola gold price surged by Rs3,800, reaching a historic high of Rs308,000, while the rate for 10 grams increased by Rs3,258 to settle at Rs264,060.

The surge follows a sharp rise in international gold prices, which climbed $34 to reach $2,944 per ounce.

A day earlier, gold prices in Pakistan had already risen by Rs1,000, settling at Rs304,200 per tola. Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained unchanged, with per tola silver at Rs3,350 and 10 grams at Rs2,872.

The global gold market has witnessed increased volatility due to ongoing economic uncertainty, trade tensions, and tariff wars between the United States and China. China recently imposed retaliatory import taxes on certain American goods after the U.S. announced new tariffs on Chinese products.

Gold, often considered a safe-haven asset during economic turmoil, continues to attract investors seeking stability amid market fluctuations.
