Gold reaches historic high of Rs264,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold price in Pakistan reached a historic high of Rs264,000 per tola on Wednesday due to the surge in rates of yellow metal in the international market.

According to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of gold increased by Rs2,300 per tola to settle at an all-time high of Rs264,000.

The association said the price of 10 grams of precious metal surged by Rs1,972 to reach Rs226,333.

In the international market, gold price registered an increase of $23 per ounce settling at $2,524.
