Gold rates climb in Pakistan amid global surge

Gold prices in Pakistan surged in line with the upward trend in international markets, with the per tola rate reaching Rs307,000 after a Rs700 increase on Wednesday.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs601, settling at Rs263,203.
This follows a significant rise on Tuesday, when gold prices jumped by Rs4,800 per tola, closing at Rs306,300.
Globally, gold prices also saw an uptick, with the international rate reaching $2,921 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $5 increase for the day.

In contrast, silver prices declined, with the per tola rate dropping by Rs54 toRs3,369.
