Pak Suzuki comes under cyber attack

A malicious cyberattack on the servers of Pak Suzuki has leaked the official data of the country’s largest car manufacturer.
Suzuki car maker PKMC revealed that its servers were hacked and its corporate data was leaked.
In a stock filing on Monday, the leading automobile company said it witnessed a cyberattack that resulted in the leakage of corporate data, including HR and financial information, on a public IP address.
Pak Suzuki said they ae conducting a detailed forensic assessment with a security consultant to address potential security threats in its infrastructure.
This incident comes after Pak Suzuki’s move to delist from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The delisting process began in February 2024, when the company launched a share buyback offer to buy back shares from the market.
The Japanese auto giant’s Pakistani assembler saw a challenging year, with a staggering loss of Rs 10 billion, up 50 percent from the previous year’s loss of Rs 6.3 billion.
