Despite being the most widely traded and held currency worldwide, the US dollar has been ranked last in the top 10 "strongest currencies" globally.
Among the 180 fiat currencies in circulation, the Kuwaiti Dinar took the top spot, followed by other currencies that surpassed the US dollar in strength.
The US dollar dominates the global economic system, being the most traded currency worldwide.
It is also the largest reserve currency, held by central banks and used to denominate commodities like oil, gold, and copper.
However, despite its widespread use, the US dollar ranked last in the top 10 strongest currencies.
The Forbes report bases its ranking on the amount of dollars needed to buy one unit of each currency.
The Kuwaiti Dinar emerged as the strongest currency in the world, followed by Bahraini dinar, Omani riyal, Jordanian dinar, British pound, Cayman Islands dollar, Gibraltar pound, Swiss franc, Euro and US dollar.
