Claim:

A post shared by a social media user claims that legendary Indian singer Kumar Sanu sang a song for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

In the video, the singer was seen performing at a concert and singing a song praising the former prime minister.

Fact Check:

However, the claims were denied by Bollywood A-lister, calling the video "fake" and "a lie".

Taking to Instagram, Ek Din Aap vocalist shared a screenshot of an Indian media fact-check article, confirming that he did not sing for the Pakistani politician.

"I want to clarify that I have never sung any song for Pakistan's former Prime Minister. The audio circulating on Facebook is not my voice — it has been created using AI," he wrote in a post.

"Some people are trying to defame me, and that’s why I want to tell my fans that this news is fake, a lie! This is a serious misuse of technology," Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hai singer added.

Kumar also urged the Indian government to take action against the misuse of AI and deepfake technology.
