CM Maryam orders to provide school children with packaged milk daily

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has ordered the provincial education department to provide children getting education in government-run schools with packaged milk daily to fulfill the nutritional needs of the students.
The decision was taken during a crucial meeting under the chair of CM Punjab, in which educational reforms were discussed.
In this regard, the pilot project will start in schools in Rajanpur district, where students will be given flavored milk with the support of Engro Foods.
Nawaz Sharif's daughter directed the concerned authorities to start the project of providing milk for students with private collaboration across the province.
First female CM Punjab also approved to reconstitute School Education Council (SEC) and the restructuring of the Punjab Curriculum Wing.
Expressing concern over the issues of the Textbook and Curriculum Board, CM Punjab expressed anger over the delay in providing textbooks to the students and called for a comprehensive plan to gradually switch schools across the province to solar energy.
CM Maryam reviewed the proposal to start afternoon classes and evening coaching centres in government schools and directed the authorities to take all possible steps to restore better and quality education in public schools.
