A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Gambat, where a 20-year-old girl, Muqaddas, lost her life after donating part of her liver to her ailing father.
According to regional media reports, the transplant was conducted at the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), but the family alleges that medical negligence led to the young donor’s untimely death.
According to the victim’s relatives, doctors initially assured them that Muqaddas would recover soon, despite her worsening condition.
However, at 2 am, the hospital called the family and asked them to take her away. She was later buried in her hometown, Shujaabad.
The devastating news took another toll as the grieving father’s health also deteriorated upon hearing of his daughter’s passing.
