The College Education Department has imposed a major restriction across all colleges in Karachi, banning the use of tobacco and drugs within college premises.

According to a notification issued by the department, the use of cigarettes, vapes, nicotine pouches, paan, and gutka has been prohibited in all colleges across the city.

The department stated that the ban on smoking and drug-related activities in colleges will come into effect immediately.

The notification directs college principals to ensure a drug-free environment within their respective institutions.

The department has also sent instructions to deputy commissioners to take measures to prevent the sale of tobacco and drug-related products around college campuses.
