Aamir Khan's son-in-law dons vest and shorts at wedding

Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan exchanged vows with fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare in Mumbai on Wednesday. 

The pictures of the wedding festivity are circulating on social media, with many particularly interested in the groom's unconventional outfit, rather than just the news of the wedding itself.

Ira Khan opted for a unique bridal look, wearing embellished harem pants paired with traditional jewelry and Kolhapuri sandals. Meanwhile, Nupur Shikhare took an unconventional approach, jogging to the wedding venue in a vest and shorts. He opted to continue wearing the same attire during the ceremony, sparking online discussions about his choice.

Netizens expressed mixed reactions, with some praising the unique style, while others remained astonished by the Bollywood actor's son-in-law donning gym attire for his wedding. Some were humorously drawing parallels, likening it to Aamir Khan’s renowned movie 'Three Idiots,' wherein Rancho’s friend Raju spoils the sherwani of his girlfriend’s fiancé by pouring chutney on it.

A wedding video shows Nupur and Ira signing the marriage document, surrounded by their loved ones. Aamir Khan, with his former wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, were also seen among the guests.

As per Indian media, Nupur, a fitness coach, is known for his role in the fitness transformations of Aamir Khan and Sushmita Sen. The couple first crossed paths during the Covid-19 lockdown when Nupur was guiding Aamir’s fitness journey. The couple got engaged in September last year in Italy.
