Actor, producer Nausheen Masud passes away

Prolific actor and producer Nausheen Masud passed away on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer, leaving behind her two sons.

Masud possessed a diverse skill set as she contributed to the media industry as a host, actor, writer, director, and producer.

She is fondly remembered for her impactful roles in popular dramas such as “Jaal,” “Colony 52,” “Ghar To Akhir Apna Hai,” and “Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat.” She appeared as a host in program “Andaz Apna Apna.”

Masud studied Industrial design and graduated from St. Joseph’s College, Karachi. 

She directed numerous music videos featuring renowned artists such as Shahzad Roy, Junaid Jamshed, Aamir Zaki, Jawad Ahmed, and the music band Junoon.

Masud’s ex-husband Tariq Quraishi noted in his Facebook post that Masud “deeply loved her sons.”

“She loved her two sons immensely. They were her babies, her advisors and her eyes lit up whenever she saw them. May she rest in peace leaving behind wonderful memories for her sons,” he observed. 

Acclaimed actor Adnan Siddiqui fondly remembered his friend, describing her as having a "beautiful soul."

He took to ‘X’ and wrote, “Farewell to the remarkable Nausheen Masud, dear friend and beautiful soul. Her warmth and style added magic to every moment we shared on and off camera. Grateful for the memories we co-created. Rest peacefully, Nausheen."
