Many celebrity pairings capture our hearts and leave us yearning for more of their on-screen chemistry and among these beloved duos, Ahmed Ali Akbar and Yumna Zaidi stand out. Recently, Ahmed revealed he's been inundated with messages and calls congratulating them on their marriage
Ahmed Ali Akbar appeared on a talk show with her co-star Amna Ilyas in highly anticipated film ‘Gunjal’ in which he portrays the lead character of journalist Shahbaz Bhatti, who investigates the murder of child activist Iqbal Masih.
The host inquired of the ‘Parizaad’ actor whether he receives messages from girls, considering his handsome appearance and rising stardom, and questioned him about his marriage plans.
Playfully, Ahmed responded, "It's a private matter. I have only one response: please pray for me to get married."
He continued in a light-hearted manner, mentioning that his marriage would bring joy to his mother and he jokingly tells her to watch his on-screen marriages.
On being insisted by the host, Ahmed eventually admitted, "Yes, I am indeed planning to get married."
In another segment, when the host asked his co-star, Amna Ilyas about receiving long letters from fans, she pointed towards Ahmed.
She teased, "Ask him; he receives messages like, 'Are you and Yumna getting married?'" The host and Ilyas said that if Ahmed marries Yumna, they would celebrate with a dance from both sides.
Yumna and Ahmed have collaborated on several renowned dramas like ‘Yeh Raha Dil,' 'Parizaad,' and 'Guzarish.'
The ‘Laal Kabootar’ actor expressed his desire to work with Yumna again, saying, “I would love to work with Yumna, but please make sure it's a good script.”
When the host asked Ahmed which actress he would choose for rumours to circulate with, he humorously replied, "Yumna, because rumors about us are already circulating. I receive phone calls from people congratulating me on my supposed marriage to Yumna."
In a previous interview, Yumna Zaidi referred to Ahmed Ali Akbar as one of her favorite co-actors. While acknowledging that they aren't friends due to his reserved nature on set, she praised him as a genuinely good person.
Ahmed, addressing the rumours, placed the blame on YouTubers, “who combine random video clips and disseminate them on social media.”
