Alizeh Shah expresses frustration over being judged ‘in the name of religion’

Actor Alizeh Shah called out online trolls for hurling harsh religious judgments at her, stating that even when she chooses to remain silent, criticism continues to follow.

Taking to Instagram, Alizeh shared a cryptic message urging critics to reflect on their harsh behavior. She expressed how the constant negativity takes a toll on her, despite her efforts to remain strong.

“Lately, it feels like no matter what I do, someone finds a reason to be upset with me,” she wrote. “I stay quiet, I try to mind my own life, but the judgment never stops.”

Addressing the criticism directed at her in the name of religion, Alizeh said that while she is still learning and growing, her connection with God is deeply personal and not something she feels the need to show off.

“I don’t understand why faith, something so beautiful and personal, is being used to spread so much hate,” she wrote.

She clarified that her message wasn't a defense but rather an honest reflection of how the backlash affects her mental well-being.

“All I know is that my connection with Allah is something I carry in my heart, in silence,” she added.

“Sometimes I just wish people could see that I am only human, and I get tired too,” she concluded, urging people to be kind and gentle.
