Anant, Radhika tie the knot after months of lavish celebrations

After months of lavish celebrations, Anant Ambani, the younger son of Indian billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani, married Radhika Merchant at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Friday night.

The wedding ceremony was attended by relatives, friends, politicians, sportspersons, Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities and prominent personalities, with the bride and groom exchanging Varmalas in the presence of their loved ones.

Reality TV stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-Yong, John Cena, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra, and cricketers Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Krunal Pandya attended the wedding.

Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and various Indian celebrities from different fields were also present.

Foreign dignitaries, including Ivanka Trump, also graced the occasion.

The wedding festivities for Ambani’s youngest son began with an intimate puja ceremony at the Ambani residence on June 29.

This was followed by a mass wedding organised by the Ambanis for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra’s Palghar on July 2.

Later on July 6, a sangeet ceremony was held in which pop sensation Justin Bieber performed.

As per the reports by Indian media, Ambani paid Bieber a staggering $10 million (approximately INR83 crore) to perform at his son's pre-wedding bash.

However, this is not the first time the Ambani family has made news for their extravagant spending.

In March, Ambani threw a three-day party, in which 1,200 guests, including former world leaders, tech leaders, Bollywood movie stars, and even the singer Rihanna, were invited.

The Ambani family, in May, took guests on a 3-day cruise trip from Italy to France.

The Ambani family's penchant for extravagance and luxurious celebrations has been well-documented, and this wedding was no exception. 

With its star-studded guest list, lavish ceremonies, and record-breaking spending, the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant wedding will be remembered as one of the most opulent celebrations in recent history.
