Pakistan's legendary scriptwriter, host, satirist and humorist Anwar Maqsood shared a special message with the youth, who were chanting pro-Imran Khan slogans at an event.
Maqsood was invited as a special guest for a session, named Zindagi ki Baatein, at Pakistan Literature Festival 2024 held in Quetta.
The session was hosted by renowned actor Adnan Siddiqui, who was on duty to talk to Maqsood about his experiences in life.
During the discussion, the youths sitting in the audience started chanting slogans in favour of incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
"Listen to me, we all are independent, so please don't talk about the people who are behind bars," the writer took a jibe at the authorities.
The audience lauded the statement with shouts and clappings.
"Who is good and bad, everyone knows. But, the difficulty is the justice providers are also seeking justice," Maqsood elaborated with the Urdu couplet.
He further shared a special message with the youth, saying "You [youth] will have to move forward, you will have to study. This is your homeland. This is your country. This is your sky."
"Keep fighting for Pakistan and keep working for Pakistan," he concluded.
