Attacker reportedly hid in Saif Ali Khan’s home before burglary attempt: police

Indian police revealed that the suspect in the burglary attempt at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra had reportedly hidden inside the home before carrying out the attack.
During the incident, which occurred on Thursday, Khan was stabbed and sustained injuries.
According to investigative authorities, initial findings suggest that a member of the domestic staff is suspected of facilitating the burglar’s entry into the house and helping him hide in a room. The domestic worker is currently under investigation, with burglary cited as the motive behind the attack.
The Mumbai Crime Branch has joined the investigation, analyzing CCTV footage to track the movements of individuals inside and outside the building. The inquiry remains ongoing.
Saif Ali Khan underwent surgeries and is currently receiving further medical treatment at the hospital.
The incident reportedly occurred at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra in the early hours of Thursday, around 2:30 am, when an intruder entered Khan’s home. The actor engaged in a scuffle to prevent the burglary, during which he was stabbed.
"Saif has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the wounds is dangerously close to his spine," said Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital.
The Hindustan Times reported that Khan suffered multiple injuries over his body. However, his back is stable following surgery, and he is able to move his hands and legs. His condition remains stable.
Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan’s medical team told the media that the actor is not in a life-threatening situation but remains under observation in the ICU.
As of now, no suspects have been arrested, and police investigations are ongoing.
Several Indian media outlets confirmed that Kareena was at home with their children, Taimur and Jeh, when the incident occurred.
