The theft of Pakistani music continues as Bollywood copied Reshma's song without permission for an upcoming film.
The trailer for the upcoming Bollywood film "Do Patti" was released, featuring Kriti Sanon, Kajol, and Shaheer Shaikh.
However, it's the song "Akhiyaan De Kol" that has caught attention for all the wrong reasons.
The song, originally named "Akhiyan Noon Rehan De" and sung by legendary Pakistani singer Reshma in 1975 for her album, has been allegedly stolen by Bollywood.
The move has angered Pakistani showbiz stars, including actor Adnan Siddiqui, who took to social media to express his discontent.
"Imitation can be flattering, but not when it means tearing apart a classic by a legend. Please show some respect for Reshma jee and the legacy she left behind," he wrote in a post on X.

Siddiqui urged the Indian media industry to respect Reshma's legacy and her iconic song.
"Her music deserves to be treated with the dignity it commands, not reduced to just another sordid ripoff."
Reshma had previously sung "Lambi Judai" for Bollywood, which was well-received in both countries.
"Do Patti" is set to release on Netflix on the 25th of this month. However, the film's inclusion of the stolen song has marred its promotional momentum.
