Late televangelist Dr Aamir Liaquat’s former wife, Bushra Iqbal, expressed hope that the court will hold TikToker Dania Shah and YouTuber Yasir Shami accountable for her ex-husband’s death.
Taking to Instagram, Bushra Iqbal revealed that she has been solely pursuing the case as the legal representative to seek justice for Dr Aamir Liaquat.
She thanked her supporters for their encouragement in her fight for justice.
In her post, she shared details of the legal proceedings, anticipating that the court would allow the trial against the suspects to move forward.
"On September 26, the court heard the arguments from Dania Shah and Yasir Shami’s lawyers to dismiss the case under Section 249-A and reserved its verdict for October 10," she wrote.
She continued, "I hope the court will deny their appeals, find the suspects guilty, and establish their involvement in Aamir Liaquat’s death so he gets the justice he deserves."
Bushra Iqbal also emphasised, "Those who build their dreams by dishonouring others must be held accountable."
The former TV host added, "Money is not everything. If it is earned with respect and not by destroying relationships, only then does it bring value and not evil."
She concluded by stating her firm belief in Almighty Allah, whom she trusts as the ultimate source of justice.
Earlier, Bushra Iqbal shared copies of arrest warrants issued by a local Karachi court in May 2024 against Yasir Shami for his involvement in the Aamir Liaquat video leak case.
Shami appeared before the court on Thursday and was granted bail against a surety bond of Rs2.5 million.
The case also names Dania Shah as a suspect in releasing indecent videos of her husband.
