CNN interviews Hania Aamir on her role as Gen Z trailblazer

American broadcaster CNN interviewed Pakistani TV star Hania Aamir, exploring her thoughts on being a trailblazer for Gen Z in Pakistan and how she embraces her journey and the worldwide popularity she has earned.

The interview, conducted by journalist Will Ripley, was aired by CNN on New Year’s Eve.

During the conversation, the Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum star was asked about what she felt most grateful for in the past year. Hania shared that she was deeply thankful for the love and support her fans showered upon her.

Discussing her upcoming Netflix show, Hania expressed excitement but refrained from revealing too many details, adding that she felt fortunate to work alongside seasoned senior actors.

Ripley also asked Hania if she felt any pressure being seen as the Gen Z face of Pakistan and how she coped with it.

Hania explained that while she didn’t feel pressured, she simply "tries to be herself," approaching whatever comes her way "with honesty."

The actress also touched on her growing fame in India, describing the fans from both countries as “distant cousins,” emphasising how similar Pakistan and India are in many ways.

Before closing the interview, Hania wished her fans worldwide "love, health, and success," advising them to be "kinder to themselves" in the upcoming year.
