Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova was crowned Miss World 2024, winning the top prize in the 71st edition of the pageant held this year in India.

Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska crowned her successor Krystyna Pyszkova. The first runner-up was Yasmin Azaytoun from Lebanon.

Contestants from 112 countries participated in the beauty pageant held at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC.

India’s Sini Shetty made it to the top eight contestants in the contest. India was the host of the event after 28 years.

India has won the title six times. Reita Faria won it in 1966, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in 2000, and Manushi Chhillar in 2017.

Part of the 12-judge panel for the finale were film producer Sajid Nadiadwala; actors Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde; cricketer Harbhajan Singh; news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis; Bennett, Coleman & Co Limited MD Vineet Jain; CEO of the Miss World Organization Julia Morley, Chairperson, Strategic Partner & Host of Miss World India Jamil Saidi, and three former miss worlds, including Chillar.
