Deepika, Ranveer are expecting their first baby, confirms couple

Indian celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to begin a parenthood journey after 5 years of marriage, the couple confirmed on Thursday.

Taking to Instagram, the Bajirao Mastani actress shared a sweet picture containing baby items.

The couple is expected to welcome the baby in September 2024 as per the text on the picture.

The announcement prompted the Bollywood fraternity to flood the comments section with congratulatory messages.

However, the netizens have already sparked Deepika's pregnancy rumours in the second week of February when the latter hid her midriff from her saree at the 77th BAFTA red carpet.

Earlier in January, Deepika expressed her wish to become a mother while talking to a Vogue Singapore.

When she was asked about embracing motherhood, Deepika responded: “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had tied the knot in a traditional Konkani ceremony at Italy’s Lake Como in November 2018.
