Deepika, Ranveer are expecting their first baby: reports

The most-celebrated Indian couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are set to welcome their first child after 5 years of marriage, Indian media reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, the couple sparked pregnancy rumours when Deepika hid her midriff from her saree at the 77th BAFTA red carpet.

At the event, she donned a shimmering silver saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, which netizens thought was an effort to hide her baby bump.

However, the couple has not commented on the rumours till the filing of the news.

Earlier in January, Deepika expressed her wish to become a mother while talking to a Vogue Singapore.

When she was asked about embracing motherhood, Deepika responded: “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had tied the knot in a traditional Konkani ceremony at Italy’s Lake Como in November 2018.
