‘Drug culture is quite common in showbiz industry’: Areej Chaudhry

Actor Areej Chaudhary has shared her concerns about the growing prevalence of drug use at industry parties during an appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast. 

"Drug culture is quite common in the industry nowadays," the Kabhi Main Kbhi Tum actor expressed her worry about the pressure many individuals feel to use drugs in order to fit in socially.

Reflecting on her experiences, she described attending parties where drug use was widespread. According to Areej, those who chose not to partake often felt unwelcome. 

"In these gatherings, I feel pressured as people made it clear that those who abstain from drug use are unwelcome," She remarked. 

In addition to discussing drug culture, Areej Chaudhary touched on the topic of on-screen intimacy. "I can do an onscreen kiss if it served the storyline. I will not feel shy if it will be necessary for the role." 

Areej has gained significant attention following her performances in popular dramas like "Tark E Wafa" and "Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum." 

As a new entrant in the industry, she is making notable strides, particularly with her role as Natasha in "Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum."
