Faryal Mehmood reveals she felt "intimidated" while working with Nauman Ijaz

Renowned actor Faryal Mehmood recently shared her experience working with veteran actor Nauman Ijaz, stating that she found herself feeling “intimidated” while collaborating with him.

The actress recently appeared on a podcast where the host asked about her thoughts on Nauman Ijaz as a co-actor.

"Intimidating," she responded, adding that "the journey with him is a very different experience, and he always wants his co-actors to give their best."

However, the Wakhri actor opined that Nauman’s approach to guiding his co-stars to improve their craft is “complex.”

She noted that understanding his expectations for an actor's performance can be challenging for some.

Host Faysal Quraishi chimed in, saying that although Nauman’s directions can be difficult to comprehend, but once someone grasp them, it can elevate an actor's performance and they can become “gold.”

Faryal nodded in agreement with Faysal Quraishi’s opinion, adding that Ijaz has a unique style of bringing out the best in his cast, and she struggled to meet his expectations due to her imperfect Urdu.

Faryal Mehmood worked with Nauman Ijaz in the drama "Raqeeb Se," alongside Sania Saeed, Saba Faisal, Iqra Aziz, Salman Shahid, and Hamza Sohail.
