Pakistani music has once gained global attention as Fifa used the viral song "Blockbuster" to celebrate French football star Kylian Mbappe's electrifying entry onto the field.

"Blockbuster" is a Punjabi song written and composed by Pakistani artists Zulfikar Jabbar Khan (Xulfi), Umair Butt, Faris Shafi, and Shamroz Butt.

The hit was sung by Faris Shafi, Umair, and the all-female Gharwi Group, consisting of Abida, Rooha Rawal, Sajida Bibi, and Saba Hassan.

However, the song was used by the international governing body of football in its reel posted on the official TikTok account.

The reel shows highlights of Mbappe's celebration style on the field, with "Blockbuster" playing in the background.

Xulfi, the song's composer, took to Instagram to express his excitement with his fans.

"From Coke Studio Pakistan to FIFA’s global stage - our 'Blockbuster' just made an appearance with Mbappe on FIFA's official TikTok page! This feels surreal," he wrote in the post.

"Our voice, our beats transcending boundaries, creating timelines that were once deemed improbable. Congratulations Pakistan This is wonderful and this is huge," the musician added.

The song was produced by Coke Studio Pakistan and was released in its season 15 on May 25.

Earlier, FIFA featured Legendary singer Arif Lohar’s latest iconic hit “Aa” to wish Messi on his birthday.
