Renowned actor Hania Aamir recently shared her commitment to promoting realistic beauty standards, expressing that she prefers to appear in front of fans even without makeup. She believes this helps her audience understand that skin flaws are nothing to be ashamed of.

During a public appearance in Canada, Hania reflected on how, in the past, her makeup and camera lighting often hid her skin breakouts.

The Janaan starlet admitted that as a public figure, she felt guilty for unintentionally giving the impression that her skin was flawless, potentially misleading people about the reality of skin issues.

To address this, Hania began sharing unfiltered photos on Instagram that openly showed her skin imperfections, including breakouts. “There’s nothing to be ashamed of,” she said.

“Many people have shamed me and advised me to ‘fix’ my skin, but I refuse to let anyone make me feel bad about it.” Instead, she decided to promote "skin positivity" and encouraged others not to feel ashamed of their own skin conditions.

Hania also explained that she now chooses minimal makeup unless it's necessary for her work on screen, so her real self shines through.

"During the shooting of KMKT, there was a scar on my face, and I decided not to hide it," the Mere Humsafar actor revealed.

“It’s wrong to tell girls that they must look perfect to leave their homes,” she stated.

Hania wanted to remind people that actors are human too and can face the same skin issues as anyone else.
