Former actress Zarnish Khan revealed that she had seen the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during her Umrah pilgrimage, which led to her decision to leave showbiz, believing it goes against her faith.
A snippet of Zarnish Khan’s recent interview surfaced on social media, where she explained how her pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba transformed her life and brought her closer to God.
The Aitebaar actor shared that she was overwhelmed with emotions and found it difficult to express herself when she first saw the Holy Kaaba, thinking, “I do not deserve to stand in front of the House of Allah.”
“I was very confused about how to face Allah,” she said, adding that she went home and fell asleep while listening to the story of Miraj.
During her sleep, Zarnish had a dream in which she saw the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), saying, “I had a long conversation with him.”
"He (PBUH) said to me that I should seek forgiveness from God while visiting the Holy Kaaba, as Allah forgives everyone.”
She added, “I wept for hours after waking up. I couldn't believe that a sinful person like me had been granted a vision of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In that moment, I wanted to leave everything behind.”
“I opened my Instagram account and felt embarrassed, wondering, what do I have to show for my good deeds on the Day of Judgment?” Zarnish then decided to leave showbiz right away.
The Ishq Zahe Naseeb star said she placed her trust in Allah while making the decision, without concerning herself about her future path after leaving acting.
She wanted to leave the profession altogether, despite some of her projects being in progress, stating, “because if I hadn’t made a firm decision at once, the temptations and glamour of showbiz would have made it difficult for me to stick to my resolution.”
Following this incident, Zarnish said she performed Umrah and, upon returning to Pakistan, decided to transform her life by adopting the hijab as the first step in her journey.
