Renowned actress Mahira Khan opened up about how she felt as a celebrity with a fanbase on both sides of the border when India attacked Pakistan in May. She recalled condemning India’s actions without worrying about losing her Indian fans.

In a recent interview, Mahira was asked about her remarks on India’s assault on Pakistan.

“It was an emotional moment for me. At that time, I was not thinking of my own interest,” she said, adding that she felt anger and immediately posted her reaction on social media.

She explained that she values her Indian fans but added, “They will also understand that your country is your country.”

Mahira said that while she avoids commenting on every issue, that particular moment compelled her to react. “I couldn’t resist,” she said.
