Karachi court cancels interim bail of YouTuber Rajab Butt

An Additional District and Sessions Judge (Central) in Karachi has cancelled the interim bail of YouTuber Rajab Butt due to his failure to appear before the court in a case.

According to details, the court cancelled Rajab Butt’s pre-arrest bail in a case related to alleged offences concerning religious sentiments after he failed to appear for the hearing.

During the proceedings at the Additional Sessions Court, Rajab Butt did not attend the hearing.

His lawyer informed the court that his client was unwell and therefore unable to appear.

The complainant’s lawyer strongly opposed the bail, arguing that repeated excuses were being made to avoid court appearances and that such relief should no longer be granted.

After hearing arguments and noting the absence of the accused, the court cancelled Rajab Butt’s interim bail.

It is worth mentioning that a case against Rajab Butt has been registered at Hyderi Market Police Station, where he has been accused of sharing controversial content related to religious matters.
