Lollywood superstar Mahira Khan openly discussed the aging process and stressed the importance of women prioritising their health, especially when they turn 30.
Raees actress Mahira Khan appeared on a podcast, where she discussed the challenges of maintaining health as a woman and emphasised the importance of taking it seriously as one ages.
"I'm turning 40, so it's a big birthday for me. I remember turning 30 when I signed 'Raees,' turning 21 when I got married, and turning 24 when I had Azlan. I fondly recall these significant moments in my life," she shared.
She expressed regret for neglecting her health in her 30s, realizing that it would have benefited her now. “Now I wish I had looked after my health in my 30a because that would have been a storage for this time.”
However, the Bin Roye starlet explained that she is making positive changes now, urging women to look after themselves as a necessity, not a luxury.
Moreover, she dismissed that the concept of visiting psychiatrists is shameful, “People suffering from mental health issues must consult experts and share their feelings with those around them. It’s not shameful. it’s a disease, and there is treatment for it.”
Mahira also admitted that during her tough time, she also took medicine for depression that ecover during difficult times, followed by “spirituality and supporting system,” which provided her help to get out of depression.
She emphasized the importance of having a support system, which offers encouragement, highlighting that open conversations can make a significant difference in overcoming stress, depression, or any illness.
