Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar demands apology from Mahira Khan

Renowned TV drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has once again expressed his displeasure toward Mahira Khan, clarifying that his frustration is not directed at the actress herself but rather at her 'actions'.

Known for crafting scripts for numerous successful dramas and movies, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar appeared in a podcast and delved into controversies within the film and drama industry, and his discord with Mahira Khan.

The ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ writer remarked, "I don't have any disputes with the actor I collaborated with for the second time. When you show me anger, bear in mind that no one in Pakistan has more anger than me."

He emphasised that “if one does not respect the writer, he won't extend respect to anyone.”

When questioned about his resentment towards Mahira Khan, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar clarified, "I am not angry with Mahira Khan, but I detest her actions."

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar stated, "For this animosity to resolve, Mahira Khan should apologise to me; nothing beyond that can resolve the situation."

The popular dramatist stated, "I shared a relationship of respect with Mahira Khan, and if I held anyone in high regard after Ayeza Khan, it was Mahira Khan."

He furthered on, "Mahira Khan had the option to seek clarification through a phone call; it is unfortunate for both of us that we cannot collaborate for a project anymore."

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar also conveyed his dissatisfaction with Mehwish Hayat, shedding light on the reason behind it. He mentioned, "Mehwish refused to work in my film 'Kaaf Kangana.'"

The writer asserted, "I made considerable efforts to cast Mehwish Hayat in the film 'Punjab Nahi Jaungi.' I even had disagreements with the film's director, but she declined 'Kaaf Kangana.'"

Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar  has been making statements against Mahira Khan since she criticised him for using inappropriate language against women on a TV program.

This began when Qamar engaged in a heated debate with social activist Marvi Sirmed in a TV show in March 2020, leading to widespread criticism of his indecent behaviour, including Lollywood megastar Mahira Khan expressing displeasure at his remarks.
