CM Maryam’s luxury bag steals spotlight as she departs for Umrah

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif departed for her Umrah pilgrimage on Wednesday. Pictures of her leaving her father’s residence, Jati Umrah, to travel to Saudi Arabia quickly went viral online. Among the images, one particular detail caught everyone's attention, the luxury bag she carried during her journey.

CM Maryam is known for her affinity for high-end fashion, often making headlines for her luxury brand choices in clothing and accessories. For her Umrah pilgrimage, she wore an all-black abaya, paired with black sunglasses, and completed the look with a Hermes bag.

Hermes, a renowned French luxury fashion house, specialises in high-end leather goods and accessories, with its products priced at exorbitantly high rates. The brand’s Birkin and Kelly bags are particularly coveted by luxury buyers worldwide.

The bag carried by CM Maryam was reportedly a Hermes Kelly Sellier 28 Etain Epsom with Gold Hardware. While the exact price of the bag could not be confirmed, a luxury fashion website listed it at over $20,000, which translates to more than 5 million Pakistani rupees.

Maryam Nawaz departed from Jati Umrah to perform Umrah. On this occasion, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif bid her farewell with a heartfelt hug and prayers.
