Meera urges nation to vote for Nawaz Sharif for 'betterment of Pakistan'

Pakistani film actor Meera voiced her support for the Sharif family in the upcoming elections, saying that their "leadership has been instrumental in Pakistan's prosperity and development".

In an interview with a private news channel, the popular movie star said: “I see Pakistan's victory in their hands. Nawaz Sharif is family oriented and his family is very civilised, I truly admire them all.”

The 'Baaji' actor believes Nawaz Sharif deserves another chance to lead Pakistan toward a prosperous future.

“I urge everyone to vote for Nawaz Sharif so Pakistan can achieve true prosperity,” she said while referring to the polls slated to take place on February 8.

Meera also praised the Punjab Police for their swift recovery of the jewelry and valuables stolen from her house.

The actor accused her househelp of stealing from her and registered a first information report (FIR) at Defense A police station, Lahore.

Meera reported to the police that when she returned home from shopping at 12:30 AM, she found out that her driver, named Qasim, had left the house, stealing away two diamond necklaces worth Rs8 million and another two worth Rs2 million

She stated in her complaint that, “when I reached home, the jewelry set and the valuable watch were missing, when I asked the domestic workers at home, they found that one of them named Qasim was not there and his phone was switched off.”

Expressing her suspicion of the driver, the actress said "I strongly suspect that my belongings have been stolen by my househelp Qasim,"'

While talking to journalists in Lahore, Meera also declared the Punjab Police as the "best police in the world", stating that while people are her fans, she herself is a huge fan of the Punjab Police.
