Pakistani actress and model Veena Malik shared details about her positive interactions with renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, appreciating his humility and stating that he never judged her profession.
He also offered a heartfelt prayer for Veena's well-being within the sacred walls of the Holy Kaaba.
During a recent appearance on the Mathira Show, Veena Malik discussed her career, the challenges that led to her divorce. She also commented on on Mufti Qavi's remarks about her and praised Maulana Tariq Jamil's kind gesture.
Recalling her first meeting with Maulana Tariq Jamil, Veena revealed that he reached out to her and they had four to five meetings. However, Maulana "never commented on her profession, nor did he ask me what I am doing.”
"Maulana Tariq Jamil reached out to me himself," Veena Malik said about their first meeting, quoting him as saying, "I was searching for you for a long time."
“He has never imposed anything on me. He is such a good person,” she added.
Praising Maulana Tariq Jamil further, she said, “He is the one who went to Holy Kaaba and prayed for me.”
However, she also recalled comments made by Mufti Qavi about her appearance on Bigg Boss, in which he criticised Veena Malik’s participation in the show, questioning whether she could watch it with her children.
“The way he treated me, I was angry then, and I’m still angry now. He doesn’t have the right to bash me on national TV. I have my career choices, and I am doing my work,” she said.
Speaking during the program, the former host asserted that she grew up with religious tendencies, beliefs, and thoughts, and that they are still the same.
She mentioned that she started wearing the hijab because she was inclined toward religion and is still the same person at heart.
Veena Malik stated that if the new generation reads and understands the Holy Quran correctly, they will not need to go to any scholar or cleric.
